Welcome to my blog!
I’m thrilled that you decided to stop by and check it out; so with that, let me introduce myself.
I’m Samantha, but everyone has different nicknames for me. Im a 19 year old college girl who loves to read, write, drink coffee and obviously workout. My favorite “workout” is running… I LOVE running. Imagine the scene in the movie “ELF” with buddy exclaiming his love for Christmas… well thats me with running! But aside from that I love doing a variety of other fitness related things like yoga and strength workouts. But when I’m not out pounding the pavement or in the gym you can find me with my friends, family and boyfriend.
A little bit more about me? I live in Maryland and go to school here as well. I’m undecided between nursing and international relations ( I know two completely opposite things) as my major, but am hoping to commit to one or the other this year. I’m ready to see what is in store this coming year and for the future in general.
Seeing as its 2017, a new year and a fresh start… I decided that I wanted to implement blogging back into my life again. I had started a blog 2 years ago and attempted to keep up with it, but at that point in my life I wasn’t ready to commit to something I knew I wouldn’t put my best effort into. So here I am again… hopefully to stay!! I also have a health based Instagram which I am still in the process of recreating after abandoning that.
Moving on to my blog handle, the idea behind the name really just came to mind when thinking of a domain title … I wanted something that was both symbolic yet simple but also would contstrue a meaning to readers.
I have struggled with anorexia for the past 8 years now, being in recovery during a small portion of those. That’s where the idea of StrongerSwirls came from. The name symbolizes a childhood nickname from sports, the idea of over coming anorexia and becoming who I once was… only stronger. I’m sure I’ll elaborate on it more in a blog post because it is important to explain and understand!
Anywhooo that’s all that I’ve got for you now, but feel free to comment on blog posts or interact with me in any way. I’m excited to see where this blog takes me along with my readers as I travel through life!
